Unbelievably, sadly and shamefully the 5,533 Australian casualties form the Battle of FROMELLES are not honoured by inscription within The Anzac Memorial, Hyde Park, Sydney,NSW, Australia. Over 2,000 of these casualties were from 5 NSW Infantry Battalions of the 12 Australian Infantry Battalions engaged. The Australian casualties at FROMELLES in a single night exceed the total of ALL Australian casualties in the Boer War plus the Korean War plus the Vietnam War. Lest we forget vraiment!
