copper mine, lead production / processing, zinc mine/processing, silver mine

Zinc, Copper, Lead, Silver, and Gold Mine located in the middle of Strathcona-Westmin Provincial Park. The mine is owned by Breakwater Resources and has operated since 1966.
Strathcona-Westmin Park is surrounded by Strathcona Provincial Park on central Vancouver Island. This park is unique in that it incorporates a working mine, the Myra Falls Operation of Breakwater Resources. (The mine was once known as Westmin Resources, hence the name for the Park. The original mineral claims were staked before the Park was created in 1911, therefore were still valid, and with the government policy of the day, when ore deposits were found, the mine was allowed to be built within the park.)

Scenic attractions near the mine are Upper and Lower Myra Falls plus hiking trails to Phillips Ridge, Tennent Lake, Bedwell Lake and Cream Lake.
