138-foot, 9-story modern-style hotel consisting of two main towers (8 floors and 5 floors) linked by a 1-story section in between, completed in 1959. Designed by Leo Stillman, the 5-story low-rise along the avenue was built first, with the 9-story tower behind it added later, when it was a Travelodge hotel.

The low-rise is clad in light and dark grey brick, with white glazed brick in the spandrels. It spans the full blockfront, with a 1-story black-painted extension in front. At the south end it is quite narrow, covered a drive-through motor court and a ramp down to a parking garage. North of this, a 45-degree angled entrance section is topped by a green metal pyramid. Below, there are bronze-framed glass door. From here, the 1-story section projects farther out for the rest of the frontage. At the north half, the paint color changes from black to grey, and it houses a restaurant space, with eight bays of large triple-windows (the 5th bay from the north has the restaurant entrance instead, with glass double-doors below a rounded, black canvas canopy. The 1-story extension is capped by a stone cornice, and on its north facade there is a painted mural.

The east facade behind and above the 1-story frontage has 16 bays of double-windows in aluminum framing, with white bricks spandrels between floors in each bay; the spandrels each have an air-conditioning vent at their centers. The brick on the piers and below the roof line is dark-grey, with lighter colored brick at both ends.

The north and south facades of the 5-story building are light-grey, with darker gray at the top, and both have two small windows in the middle at the 2nd-5th floors. There is a metal coping at the roof line. The ground level is open at the south facade, with parking, and the upper floors carried on white concrete columns. The rear, west-facing elevation is similar to the east facade. There is a small, 2nd-floor skybridge connecting the 5-story building to the 9-story tower behind, clad in grey metal paneling with a band of windows. A long, red brick wall with a stone coping enclosed the entire property along 49th Street.

The tower building is situated on 49th Street, clad in white brick, with dark-grey brick in the spandrels. The ground level is open to parking like at the shorter east building. The upper floors have five bays of windows in bands of four panes on the south facade, and four such bays on the north side. There are two vents in each spandrel, and the windows have white aluminum framing. The top floor has a recessed ribbon band of windows wrapping around the south, east, and north elevations, and encloses a swimming pool. There are no other openings on the east facade. A tall mechanical penthouse and water tower enclosure is located at the northeast corner of the roof.

The hotel contains 232 guest rooms. The restaurant space facing the avenue is occupied by HaSalon.
