The location of the first airfield in the San Simon Valley. Part of the US governments intermediate field system, the Rodeo intermediate field supported commercial aviation flights from San Diego to El Paso. Originally consisted of a N/S and an E/W runway. At some point a third runway was added. The former radio building was relocated into the town of Rodeo.
