El Paso is a city in and the county seat of El Paso County, Texas, United States. The population was 649,121 at the 2010 census. Located just across the Rio Grande from Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, the area has approximately 2.7 million inhabitants.

Because of its location on the Mexican border, El Paso serves as one of the busiest ports of entry to the United States.
