amusement ride, logging
A 1938 Washington Steam Donkey, or steam powerd log yarding machine. Very useful and popular type of machine in loggings 'hay-day', the steam donkey was used closely and efficiently with rail lines and hard work. The steam donkey ran out of 'steam' when the days of logging lush valley bottoms and gentle slope were gone to the mills.
