In the Register of Century Trees in Bulgaria 'Big Beech' was announced by Decree of the Council of Ministers № 1078 of 13.03.1950, published in the State Gazette, DR No. 106 of the Ministry of Forestry and Forest Industry
The century-old tree is a point on the European hiking route E3 (Kom - Emine).
