Built for John Rogers Maxwell Sr(railroads}. Maxwell was also director of the Atlas Portland Cement Co. which supplied the cement used to build the Panama Canal. C. 1898 Mediterranean Villa by William Tubby{Pratt Oval, Pratt Mausoleum}. Someone indicates an extension added in 1899 might still exist.
