Wolverine Tube first occupied part of the site in 1926 when it constructed a 100,000 sq. ft. factory to manufacture copper tubing mainly for the auto industry. The plant was expanded to 200,000 sq. ft. by 1932 and 315,000 sq. ft. by 1955. Wolverine Tube, which was then a subsidiary of Universal Products, closed the plant in 1976 and sold the buildings.
Subsequent owners included Jade Realty (1976-1984), Hermes Automotive (1984-1996) and 27 Orestidos Ltd.
