This 35 acre + area of undeveloped land was planned to have a huge development built here that was more protested than liked. This is one of the only large pieces of forest land left in Bergen county. The plans were discussed starting in 2007. The development is called Enchantment at Paramus. It consists of 144 houses and residential units. The "Save Paramus Wetlands" organization has had many hearings at the Paramus Borough Hall to protest the development and save the vast forest. I believe that they decided it will stay Wetlands.
