  • Build after 1960, to take the place of the former railway station Bucharest-Filaret. In 1988 from here leave 7 passenger train to Giurgiu, per day. Also, in 1988, start building a new rail bridge (at Gradistea), at the start of works on the navigable channel Bucharest-Dunare. Also, Bucuresti-Progresu station was/is used for freight train, at factory: "Heat Plant Progresu", "Energoutilaj", "Fabrica de placi din beton-armat" "Procema", "Otelul", "Progresul", "Girueta". From august 2005, when the railway bridge at Gradistea (old rail bridge, who was build in 1891) was destroyed by floods, passenger trains Bucharest Progresu-Giurgiu were canceled.
