Bukorovtsi Monastery of St. George is the only monastery in Bulgaria and the second in the world with five churches. Currently operating only St. George, the other from the inside is still not ready - St. Petka, Sts. Cyril and Methodius, Holy Sunday and All Saints. Bukorovtsi Monastery is now updated, but almost nothing about its history is not known, except that it was built on the foundations of five old churches. There is found the oldest calendar, discovered in Europe. Was in the form of a turtle and today is kept in a museum. Before the old church has crosses on which are inscribed the names of saints. And the stone is preserved, which is found on "turtle".
