Căldăruşani Monastery

In the great and endless forests of Vlasiei, early sec. XVII, the first OR Founder - Prince Matei Basarab, the love of these wonderful places in 1637, up near an old monastery of wood, one of the most important and ramarcabile monuments, Monasteries CALDARUSANI.
Prince up three sides of cells plus a defense wall in the east, the city is provided with a high tower staja - CLPOTNITA today, all of which is surrounded on three sides by Lake Caldarusani.
The right entry is basement (which preserves the original vaults) of them located above its former ruler Matei Basarab throne room which now houses the Treasure Room (there being at creuci, chalices, bishop vestments, embroidery, candles, all of inestimable value ).
In 1638, one hundred days, the church of brick and river stone was erected, being consecrated on December 26. Original painting was restored in the years 1778, 1817, 1911, the last time the painter Belizarie.
Monastery of St. CALDARUSANI noted historically as an important center of spiritual and spiritual rebirth of the Romanian Country.
Monastic-spiritual life is mostly lived from the foundation till now the whole things in common, prayer and work are woven here by the old canons and ordinances of the Holy Fathers of the Eastern Church.
Monastery Museum houses items of particular value: icons and pictures of the painting painted corifei (Yevgeny LAZAR, Nicolae Grigorescu )
