Kalavara Durga

Durga is a legendary ancient Hill fort overlooking Madhurenahalli and Kanivenarayanapura. It was built by the Local rulers over several centuries. It was held by the Maratha Rulers then by Tippu. Tippu used the fort as one of his military bases in the fight against the British. It was taken over by the British after Tipu's defeat and was dismantled.
