Harborne village is just 3km from the centre of Birmingham but is light years ahead in terms of class. This is the most fasionable area of Birmingham to live in, and is the home of many rich and famous socialites (including TV's Nick Owen).

Often described as the 'Chelsea of Birmingham'!

  • I lived in Harborne for 20 years and at the time (1973 - 1993) it was indeed a very nice village. However, since the mid 90's Harborne has declined in many areas. It is only now starting to emerge from a period of time when Harborne was considered 'a dump'. We owned the garage in station road (high street end) until Landlords became greedy and increased rents threefold. They did this based on the very attitude of the above article and were responcible for Harborne's dramatic decline.
