Area where Andhra Pradesh CM 's helicopter went missing on September 2, 2009.
Dr. Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, the 60 year old Congress chief Minister died in the crash alongwith his principal secretary S. Subrahmanyam, chief Security officer ACS Wesley and two pilots of the BEL 430 helicopter they travelled in.
The IAF later announced the site as at 40 Nautical miles (Approx. 74 Kilometers) East of Kurnool at a point intersecting the scheduled trajectory of the flight.

Nallamala / Nallamalla (Black Hills) is a dense forest at the sources of Krishna and Thungabhadra at altitudes upto 800 meters ASL.
