Principal Territorial & Reserve IDF Forces base in the Southern Command.
Infamous for the severe torture and beating taking place there after the camp's repurposing during the Gaza war. 36 Palestinians have died in Sde Teiman by July 2024.

Multiple accounts of former detainees retell the detention camp being split into two parts: enclosures where around 70 Gazans are held under extreme physical restraint and a field hospital.

During the Gaza War of 2014, it periodically held small amounts of Gazans.
After the October 7 attacks, captured Nukhba forces were detained in an empty tank hangar, but at the end of the month, three other hangars were repurposed to hold the growing influx of other Palestinian detainees.

Sde Teiman was stormed by far-right protesters and lawmakers on July 29, 2024, over the detention of nine base guards the same day who were alleged to be responsible for the abuse of a detainee in a life-threatening condition.
In October 2024, the amount of people in the camp significantly decreased and its medical facility shut down to implement a petition by various human rights groups to the Supreme Court of Israel.
