The remaining kilns and smoke stacks of the Nelsonville Brick Plant, built in 1880. The bricks made at this particular plant gained world-wide recognition in 1904 when the paving brick "Nelsonville Block" won 1st prize at the World's Fair in St. Louis. In 1979, the site of the brick plant was turned into Nelsonville Park to help preserve the history there.
