  • My dear alma mater. I grew up inside the green and yellow walls, for 11 years i was in the boarding. I used to hate it back then being a bit of a rebel (silent one though) and the strict convent-like rules didn't go very well with my idea of life. Now i miss the school alot! and some of the teachers were excellent. I couldn't have been more blessed.
  • PMS...It was a home away from home for me....!!! Oh!! How i wish to go back to my school days...no doubt those were the best years of my life!!   • I attended Pratt Memorial School from the Kindergarten all the way through until I graduated in 1964. My two sisters, my two nieces and now my nieces daughter attends the school and loves it. I attended the schoolwhen Mrs. Bobb was the principal. They were good days and I look back on those days with fond memories. I only wish I could contact some of my classmates. We are all dispersed all over the world now and it would be great if we could connect with each other.

  • This is indeed a pleasure, seeing my school acknowledged as one of the best (girls') school in Calcutta. What really made my day, however, was seeing Zonun's comment above. Zonun and I used to be in the same batch. She was in Cavell house and the boarding prefect in our year, if I remember right. She was also a bit of a musical diva (minus the airs and graces of one). With the onslaught of reality TV a few years after we finished school in 2003, I sometimes wondered why such wonderful singers like Zonun didn't step up and take the mike away from the talentless hacks who swarmed the shows.
  • i reallly miss my school...i want 2 go back again...i was in the boarding n i agree with zonun that we hated it when we were actually there but now i miss those days...i love my alma mater...god bless you Pratt Memorial School.

  • my x-school..still have some sweet memories of it esp.d boarding life..hrs of staying inside d study hall:-)but i really miss those days..1 of d best school in cal n i feel very blessed 2 b a part of PMS though i regretted 4 leaving d school so soon.
  • its been long i h've seen the school within the green walls of PMS but i still h've it etched in my memories the hostel life,the history classes of mrs.j.sengupta and not the end of all ms.pradhan.Though it had been painstaking then but life now makes me feel that "those days were the best days of my life". thanx to everyone and my good wishes as an alumni of the school.

  • oh yeah i was blessed to spend my early years in st.james and was a real treat to watch the green skirts with yellow shirts on their sports day remember priscilla hopley(the star sportsgirl)daughter of mr .hopley ,the melanies and belindas and yasmin rogers all the famous g girls (remember us the T birds from GREASE) one good time MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!!!!

  • I was fortunate to attend PMS and finished in 1962 - 50 years ago. Those were the best years of my life, had a wonderful time. I am also happy to still be in touch with several of my classmates - even those scattered all over the world. This school helped us to forge bonds that can never be broken.

  • Rules in Pratt is very strict, if u r late for just 1 minute u should be send back to ur home. There is no late system in school. They won't forgive u, if u r first time late n u have 100% attendance.
