The Vatro Pole Locality (until June 29, 1942, Uzana) is located in the municipality of Gabrovo, at the foot of Ispolin Peak - 1523.40 m (its old name is Korudzha Peak), in the western part of the Shipka Mountain, part of the Central Balkan Mountains, in the heart of Bulgaria. The nearest starting point to the high mountain meadow is the town of Gabrovo, which is located only 22 km on an asphalt road.
Geografical center of Bulgaria - 42°45’ 58″ N 25°14’18″E.
South of the area passes the European hiking route E3 (Kom - Emine).
