The Municipality of Kazanlak restored the native house of Acad. Dechko Uzunov when the painter was still living but it was opened for visits in 1987, after his death, as part of the Kazanlak Art Gallery. The exposition occupies four rooms of the house and a specially built exposition hall. Twenty-one paintings of different periods of his work are exhibited in the house, donated by his wife Olga Uzunova and his nephews Atanas and Hristo Neykov. Works of Atanas Neykov, Hristo Neykov and the other two nephews of the painter are shown on the ground floor. 42 aquarelles and drawings of Dechko Uzunov can be seen in the exposition hall, which complete the idea of his artistic talent.
