6-story hotel completed in 1962. Designed by Wechsler & Schimenti, it is composed of two U-shaped blocks surrounding a central courtyard with a pool. They are clad in white-painted brick (with light-grey brick at the narrow piers between window bays) above a 2-story base of light-brown granite (ground floor) and brown-painted pre-cast stone (2nd floor).

The main entrance is near the east end on 42nd Street, with glass double-doors atop a wide stone step, below a bronze canopy with a sharp peak. Directly to the left is a large double-window, and at the far east end is a metal service door. Farther to the west is a wide garage entrance, a glass storefront with a recessed entrance at its east end, and two more service doors. There are no openings on the 2nd floor, but it does feature a pair of flagpoles projecting over the garage entrance. The upper floors have ten bays of tripartite windows, with the middle panes bisected horizontally. There is a simple coping at the roof line.

The rear, north facade on 43rd Street is clad in red-painted brick. The ground floor has has a service door at each end, and a small garage door just left of center. There are also no openings on the 2nd floor here. The upper floors have nine bays of tripartite windows.

Built in 1963 in preparation for the World’s Fair, the hotel contains 160 guest rooms.
