Built in the 15th century, reinforced /transformed in the 16th century, demolished in 1857.
It was the most powerful and massive tower of the Sibiu fortress. Tower's defense, entrusted to the Shoemakers guild, required 114 people.

In 2013, during Ocnei street rehabilitation the tower foundations were marked on the pavement with stone.
