Cuttack is also the headquarters of Cuttack District. It lies near Bhubaneswar. It is more than a thousand years old, and was the capital of Orissa for almost nine centuries, before Bhubaneswar was made the capital city. With its world famous unique filigree works in silver, ivory and brass works and textiles of woven silk and cotton, Cuttack is perhaps the grandest showroom of Orissa. Cuttack is still the judicial capital of Orissa.The Inhabitants of Cuttack are Known as KATAKIA.

  • lol.. I thought that it was Kataki. There are people of all shades and hues just like anywhere else in the world. Students are generally tuition-oriented and migrate to other places for higher studies. There are good schools and few good colleges. Compared to other metros, people in jobs generally lead a relaxed type of life and have time for their families and commitments. People are committed to their families. Divorce rate is very low and teen-age pregnancies are unheard of.

People here are INNOCENT !!! its the only place in orissa where SEX RATIO IS FAVOURABLE TO FEMALES !
