production, grain elevator / grain silos
An operational grain elevator presently owned by Ceres Global Ag Corp, built between 1927 and 1930. At it's height of production, the Lake and Rail elevator produced over 2,700,00 pounds of flour a day from its silos and attached processing facilities.
Refurbished in 2008 by Riverwright LLC to be used as a corn storage facility for a planned Ethanol production plant, the elevator was eventually resold to Ceres Global Ag Corp and now forms part of the Ceres Global Buffalo Lakeport elevator complex.
