Barnwell Regional Airport is a General Aviation Airport owned and operated by Barnwell County. The Airport was originally constructed in 1942 by the US Army Air Corps and used as a training base for B-25 bombers during World War II. The Airport has two active asphalt runways. Runway 17/35 measuring 5,119 ft. long was recently resurfaced and widened to 100 ft. Runways 5/23 is 5,255 ft. long by 75 ft. wide.
