Named after former Sandwich East Deputy Reeve, Robert McDonald the park was acquired from the former township when it merged with the City of Windsor in 1966. Additional acreage was added in 1970 and 1978 to expand the park to its present 16.88 acres. The park features a soccer field, baseball diamonds and playground equipment.
