This road is 15km long along the sea side. Most of the people living here are fisherman. Their man occupation is fishing. Many poor huts are seen in the harbor area. Kumbabishekam and Koti Lingeswara Swamy temple are the most famous temples in this township. Area houses many of the industries like Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Coramandal Fertilizers. Oil refineries are also included in this area. Commissioner of port department and marine police station are also situated here. One good reason to drop at Beach Road is its proximity to the beach. Beach provides lot of refreshment and entertainment to the regional people. For loading and unloading the goods ships hit the beach every day.
