Enormous 757-room hotel built in 1980 by SmithKline as part of their headquarters complex. Originally known as the Franklin Plaza Hotel, managed by Canadian Pacific Hotels. Renamed Wyndham Franklin Plaza in 1984, then Sheraton City Center Philadelphia in 2006, then Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown in 2011. Temporarily renamed Philadelphia 201 Hotel in 2018 due to major renovations, then became Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown again in 2020.
