Anchor Danly was created in 2005 with the merger of Windsor based Anchor Lamina and Chicago based IEM Danly. It is the largest North American manufacturer of large engineered die sets used by automotive and automotive parts makers. Anchor Lamina was founded in 1975 with plants in Windsor and Mississauga Ontario.
The 110,000 sq. ft. Windsor factory produces precision die sets and steel plates used in the advanced tooling for metal forming and plastic injection mould industry. Largely dependent upon the automobile industry it is making attempts to diversify by entering the atomic energy and other sectors.
