The Danish Patent and Trademark Office (Patent og Varemærkestyrelsen, int.dkpto.dk) examins patent applications and trademark application. Furthermore the Danish Patent and Trademark Office performs various searches regarding patent and trademarks e.g. Freedom to Operate, Invalidity searches, Novelty searches etc.

This address is also home to Nordic Patent Institute (NPI, www.npi.int), which is an intergovernmental organisation established by the governments of Denmark, Iceland and Norway. NPI acts as a Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) authority, i.e. International Searching Authority (ISA) and International Preliminary Examining Authority (IPEA), for residents of the three member countries (for any international application filed with the Receiving Office of Denmark, Iceland and Norway)
