PRETC plays a vital role in ensuring that our personnel receive the right training at the right time; we are the foot on the ground working on a day-to-day basis with the young Canadians that are the future of the Canadian Forces.
PRETC will give the personnel that it manages the opportunity to maintain their skills in an interesting and challenging environment, it will deliver pre-requisite training for personnel at the DP1 level, and provide opportunities for personnel to gain experience in their future trade (On the Job Experience (OJE)). When personnel leave PRETC they will do so with an “unfair advantage” over their peers as they will have been given the opportunity to increase their personal fitness level and learn about a healthy lifestyle, to practice and gain experience in the skills they learned on BMQ, to see the future of their own job while on OJE and to participate in educational upgrading programs.
Many of the personnel of PRETC will also gain experience when they are tasked to support tasks critical to the missions of the CF such as PRETC support to OP HURRICANE and the tasks in support of JTF2.
