Tomb of Aigisthos

Greece / Argolis / Koutsopydion /
 tomb(s), archaeological site

Despite its traditional name, which associates it with the late-Mycenaean ruler Aigisthos, this is believed to have been one of the earliest tholos (domed or "beehive") tombs at Mycenae, something suggested both by its location close to the earlier cemeteries (Grace Circles A and B) and the employed technique of building out of rubble without a relieving triangle over the doorway.
