The City Art Gallery with its permanent exhibition is the most suitable starting point for becoming familiar with the wealth, the history and the contemporaneity of the visual arts in Plovdiv. Currently it possesses 7,210 works, of which 2,310 paintings, 2,549 works of graphic art, 545 sculptures and objects of the applied arts, 574 icons and 1,234 works of Mexican art.
