This building was designed by local architect J. Melrose Morrison and opened as Wilson School in 1928. It was built of reinforced concrete with brick trim and contained 16 classrooms, one "domestic science" room, a large assembly hall, recreation rooms for boys and girls, lavatories, principal's room, nurses' room, teachers' room, and kitchen. The building was steam heated using the first "Uni-Vent" registers in the city. It remained an elementary school until 1983.

It was the Saskatoon campus of the Saskatchewan Indian Federated College (later, the First Nations University of Canada) from 1994 until May 3, 2010. The campus was closed because of budget cuts after a period of financial and administrative instability at the institution.

As of November 2010, the building is now being looked at as new office space for Affinity Credit Union.
