This is the Mead Avenue bridge. It connects Mead Avenue on the Meadville side of French Creek with State Route 102 (Cussewago Road) on the Vernon Township side. The bridge was closed in 2007 due to its poor condition. There is a detour for this bridge that uses the Spring Street bridge (northeast of here). The future for the bridge is unknown as many proposals are being discussed.
