This was the original House of Representatives Chamber in the 1800's before they moved to their current location. Stephen Austin and John Quincy Adams were both Congressmen and served in the House in this room. This is now the location of "Statuary Hall." Each state has two statues of someone important from their state; however, only a select handful of these statues are located here.
