Located in the former 1894 Spermaceti Cove #2 United States Life-Saving Service Station building. The original station here was constructed in 1849 and later replaced in 1894. In 1915, the USLSS merged with the Revenue Cutter Service to form the U.S. Coast Guard. The USCG was stationed here until 1940.

The museum has exhibits relating to the life saving efforts of the station, as well as on the natural history of the area.
