West Decker is a surface coal mine, situated in Montana's portion of the Powder River Basin. Coal from this mine, and the twin East Decker mine, is hauled by BNSF Railway to powerplants throughout the United States, mainly in the Midwest. During 2007, production of the Decker mines was 6,984,546 tons, the 26th highest among coal mines in the United States.
