Ford Windsor Engine Plant compound. Consisting of the Windsor Engine Plant(WEP), Windsor Casting Plant(WCP), and the WEP Annex. The 5.4L V8 is assembled at WEP, the 6.2L V10 is assembled at the Annex, and 3.8/4.2L V6 blocks and a variety of Crankshafts are cast at the WCP. WCP is slated to close the summer of 2007, with the loss of 500 or more jobs.

  • Wow little angery with the auto workers ?.... what happened too stupid to work assembly ? Fail the test ? did they turn you down ? How is BK treating you these days ? GMC yea # 1 what in debit maybe.
  • That is a shame. Excellent engine!! My engine had about 350,000 hard miles on it before I decided to rebuild it. By hard miles I am referring to hauling 4000 pounds or more on the truck bed, pulling diesel tractors off to get them cranked, pulling my dad's Chevy truck in every time it broke down (happened regularly), hauling equipment, etc. I was a GM man until they didn't want to sell me a truck. Best thing they ever did for me. Just bought another real truck, new F-150 5.0.
