The Grain Show Building opened in 1933 for the World's Grain Exhibition and Conference, which attracted nearly 200,000 visitors to the city of Regina that year.
Much of the building - the west and south wings - burned to the ground in a spectacular 1955 fire. The east wing, located near Elphinstone Street, remained a fair grounds landmark until 2009 when it too was destroyed by fire.
