This neorenaissance building was constructed in the 1886 second the plans of Vienna architects F. Fellner and H. Helmer, in substitution of the oldest theatre's building. Till now it has been classified for the work, the theatre and the ballet. In front of the theatre is found one of the most ancient fountain of the city, the Ganymedes Fountain, operates of Viktor Tilgner of 1888.
