The Serbian National Theatre (Serbian: Српско народно позориште or Srpsko narodno pozorište) is the oldest Serbian professional theatre. It is based in Novi Sad, the second largest city of Serbia. The theatre was founded in 1861 on the meeting of the Serbian Reading-room, held in Novi Sad. The Serbian National Theatre is also the oldest professional theatre among the South Slavs.

The first General Manager of the Serbian National Theatre was Jovan Đorđević.

The building which the theatre currently occupies was opened in March 1981.
