On the 5th of September 2008, American Honda Motor Co., Inc. had this stretch of Avenue K grooved specifically to play the William Tell Overture (in tire vibrations) when driven over it to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Honda Civic for an advertising campaign.
It has since been paved over. A new version of the musical highway was created on Avenue G west of 30th Street West.
