223-foot, 17-story Neo-Classical office building completed in 1916. Designed by Sommerfeld & Steckler, its west facade on Madison Avenue is four bays wide, while the south facade spans five bays with an additional narrow bay at the east end. The 3-story limestone base has wide piers on granite plinths. The ground floor is lined with storefronts, with the main entrance at the north bay on the avenue, with molded egg-and-dart surrounds and a triangular pediment on top, and a couple of service doors at the eastern end on 29th Street. A band course with a Greek-fret motif caps the ground floor. The 2nd-3rd floors are dominated by fluted Ionic columns - rounded on the west facade and flat on the south side. Each bay has tripartite windows with brown iron frames and spandrels, except for the narrow easternmost bay, which has a narrow single-window at each floor. A dentiled cornice caps the base, decorated with small lions' heads above each pier.
The transitional 4th floor is clad in stone, with paired windows in each bay, framed by stone surrounds and with a small cornice on top. Floors 5-14 are clad in buff-colored brick with paired windows (single-windows in the narrow end bay). A cornice sets off the crown of the building, which is clad in stone. Both main facades have a green copper roof cornice with large modillions.
The ground floor is occupied by HAB Bank. The building's major tenant is RDA Enterprises, a system integration firm that provides the resources to design, implement and support a wide variety of markets and industry segments.
