Grumman F-14D Super Tomcat

US Navy variable-sweep wing air superiority fighter, fleet defense interceptor and tactical reconnaissance aircraft. This aircraft, BuNo 157986, is the 7th Tomcat built and served its entire life as a research and development airframe at Grumman's Calverton, New York plant. Modified several times, it served as the basis for the 1973 Super Tomcat prototype.
