209-foot, 16-story Neo-Renaissance office building completed in 1927. Designed by Charles B. Meyers, it is clad in tan brick with terra-cotta trim above a double-height ground floor of rusticated limestone (with brown polished granite plinths at the bases of the piers on the north facade). The east facade on Lexington Avenue is organized into three bays, with large segmental-arches at the ground floor. The main entrance is in the south bay, with a revolving door between two traditional glass-and-metal doors, and glass-and-metal infill above, in a tripartite configuration. The other two bays have storefronts. The tall ground floor is topped by an intricate terra-cotta band with a vine pattern, and small modillions with lions' faces along the underside. At the 2nd floor the brick piers are outlined in terra-cotta, and each bay has a trio of windows with round-arches on top. The windows in each bay are framed by spiral colonnettes with small Corinthian capitals, and the architraves of the arches have terra-cotta detailing. A thin terra-cotta band runs across the 2nd floor, with a row of even smaller lion-face modillions across each window bay.
The upper floors have three single-windows in each bay, with narrow brick intermediate piers between them, and brick spandrel panels between floors decorated with diamond shapes. There are ornamented terra-cotta lintels on the windows of the 10th floor, and the outer bays at the 11th-12th floors are grouped across both floors by slender, rounded colonnettes ending in round-arches above the 12th-floor windows. This arrangement repeats in the middle bay at the 13th-14th floors, while the outer bays set back above the 12th floor (with angled walls at the sides of the middle bay). Another setback runs above the 14th floor, with the middle bay's ends still angled at the top two floors. The building is crowned by a crenelated parapet.
The north facade on 32nd Street spans five bays with the same general design as the east facade. The four eastern bays at the ground floor are storefront bays, while the west bay has a secondary entrance with glass double-doors. A few of the windows are replaced by metal louvers. Both outer bays on each side set back above the 10th floor, with the middle bay extending up to the second setback.
