"Father of the Bride" (1991) Filming location. In the movie, it was supposed to be in San Marino, CA. In fact, it was actually a few blocks northwest of that town, in the southern section of Pasadena. The address is 843 S. El Molino Ave., in Pasadena.
The house was also used in the 1995 sequel, "FATHER OF THE BRIDE 2."

  • Not too sure about this. Imdb lists this address, although, it has also been reported (on the internets) that the house location from that movie is located further south in Alhambra on Almansor.
  • OK, I looked at this home and the one in Alhambra, and this is the one that most looks like the one used in the film. Same model, but the El Molino house is it.
  • Looking at this house on Google Streetview, it does not match with the pictures showing the real estate listing of the Father of the Bride (1991) house. The entrance is different, as is the window above it, to name a few differences.
  • Forget my previous post. The house for sale I spoke of before was NOT used for the front of the house shots in the movie. THIS is the house used for the front of the house shots in the film.
  • I know the couple that lived here when the movie was shot. The interior of the house was also used. The film crew did some repainting, but not any major remodeling. Although the couple was paid thousands of dollars, they vowed never to do it again, because it was so disruptive to their family!
