Built in 1926 by acclaimed theater architect Thomas Lamb. With 2,300 seats this theater was the 2nd largest when it opened in 1927. Loew's sold it 1928 and bought it back the next year. The theater closed in 1950's and it was used mostly as warehouse space.
In 2010, New York City Landmark Preservation Commission classified the facade as historically significant. The building sits unused and decaying.
