Hotel Shocard

6-story hotel originally completed in 1887. Three bays wide, it was re-clad in 2007. It has a black-painted brick and metal ground floor with a central entrance flanked by two large windows. The upper floors are clad in black-painted pre-cast concrete with rusticated at the ends. An air-conditioning vent is cut below each of the three windows in bright-yellow frames on each floor, and a silver metal fire escape runs down the center bay, with rounded ends on the landings. A flagpole is attached to the upper levels of the fire escape and extends above the roof line. Attached to the lower levels of the fire escape is a vertical neon sign with rounded top and bottom, spelling out "SHOCARD".

This budget dormitory hotel was formerly the Equity Point Hotel, and the Hotel 41 @ Times Square. It contains 47 guest rooms.
